21 containers from Central Asia have been shipped to sea from Nansha Port Phase II terminal of Guangzhou port for Indonesia, Guangzhou port group said Sunday. For the first time, Guangdong's Central Asia train went out to sea in the mode of "railway barge transportation sea transportation", and opened the "Central Asia Guangzhou Southeast Asia" sea logistics channel.

The goods exported from Nansha port area are potash fertilizer imported from Uzbekistan, weighing 1113 tons and worth about 128000 US dollars. This batch of goods starts from korsai, stanqiu, Uzbekistan, and is transported to Jiaoxin Wharf in Guangzhou by road through Dalang Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, and is transported from Jiaoxin bonded warehouse barge to Nansha comprehensive bonded zone by bonded goods logistics transfer mode. In the comprehensive bonded zone of Nansha port area, bulk cargo from railway container to sea container will be replaced one by one, and finally shipped from Nansha port area to the destination.

According to the relevant person in charge of Guangzhou port group, Uzbekistan's potash fertilizer can provide more than 40000 tons of production capacity for Central Asian producers and Southeast Asian buyers every year. Guangzhou Nansha port and one belt, one road, are complementary to each other. The international logistics corridor is extended by means of multimodal transport, providing more cross-border logistics options for the countries and regions along the "one belt and one road".

Guangzhou Customs supports the transit transportation of Central Asia trains, and formulates measures to promote the Central Asian trains to undertake the transfer of air and sea freight, including allowing enterprises to choose their own customs clearance modes, reducing the number of customs declaration, reducing the cost of customs declaration, and promoting the development of multimodal transport business. The cargo of Central Asia trains in and out of Nansha port area has accumulated customs clearance time of 1 hour, which makes the goods wait for departure according to the established shipping schedule.

It is understood that Nansha port area is located in the geometric center of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay area and close to the main source of goods in the Pearl River Delta. The comprehensive logistics cost for enterprises to import and export through Nansha port area is the lowest. At the same time, the port area is seamlessly connected with railway, expressway and inland river transportation network, which has unique advantages of river sea combined transportation and sea rail combined transportation. In the future, Nansha port area will build a distribution center for high-quality goods such as timber, frozen products, plastic granules and food, and undertake the task of connecting mainland provinces with overseas gateway hubs.
