In his speech, Liu Weiming said that with the gradual recovery of personnel exchanges between the two places, and the implementation of Hengqin port's innovative customs clearance mode, many positive measures will gradually play a superimposed and synergistic effect, which will provide important support for promoting the close cooperation between the two places in various fields and accelerating Macao's economic recovery after the epidemic. After the joint meeting, a forum on enterprise exchange and cooperation between the two places was held. A total of 260 representatives of enterprises, experts and scholars from the mainland and Macao held special discussions on the two topics of "opportunities and challenges faced by enterprises in the context of global industrial chain reconstruction" and "promoting innovation and development of enterprises by smart economy", so as to enhance communication and exchange and build consensus on cooperation.
Delegates at the meeting generally said that under the new situation, Macao will give full play to its unique advantages and take the initiative to integrate into the overall situation of national development, and the economic and trade cooperation between the two places has broad prospects.
