On September 9, the 4th China service trade Standardization Forum, sponsored by CCPIT and co hosted by CCPIT and China Standardization Association, was held on the spot of China International Trade in services trade fair. Centering on the theme of "standardization helps the innovation and development of service trade", the participants discussed the development of key and frontier fields of service trade, such as digital exhibition, e-commerce, human resources, live economy, cultural creativity, and related standards construction. Lu Pengqi, vice president of China Council for the promotion of international trade, Cui Gang, director of standard innovation management department of State Administration of market supervision and administration, and Gao Jianzhong, vice president and Secretary General of China Association for standardization, attended the event and delivered speeches.
In his speech, novel coronavirus pneumonia is a new engine of world economic growth, Lu Pengqi said in the current environment of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the deep recession of the world economy and the backwash of economic globalization. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the development of the service industry and trade in services. In recent years, it has continuously improved the relevant supporting policies for trade in services and promoted the development of key areas of trade in services, and achieved remarkable results. In 2019, China's total import and export of services reached 5.4 trillion yuan, ranking second in the world for six consecutive years. In the first seven months of this year, China's trade in services showed a general trend of stabilizing, with a sharp reduction in the deficit. The proportion of knowledge intensive service trade rose against the market, showing strong development toughness and strong driving force.
Cui Gang pointed out that the development of service industry has become an important standard to measure the comprehensive competitiveness and modernization level of a region. Promoting the standardization of service industry can standardize the market order, guide the healthy development of service industry, improve service quality, and effectively enhance the international competitiveness of China's service industry.
Gao Jianzhong said that the standardization of trade in services highlights the comprehensiveness of social science and natural science. In carrying out the standardization work, we should balance the humanistic thought, respond to the demand, solve the problems, regulate the order, reduce the cost and improve the efficiency. We should pay attention to the connection with policies and regulations to give full play to the effectiveness of soft laws and regulations; cooperate with leading enterprises and new technology and new models to produce resonance leading effect; take the maximization of interests of interested parties and balance of distribution as options to form the effect of tie aggregation. There is a bright future in the field of service trade standardization. It is hoped that all parties will work together to make standardization integration a solution for the construction of service trade format, and help China and the global service trade develop in a high quality and healthy way.
