"Dafei Jacques Sade" officially joined the fleet of Dafei group, thus becoming the world's largest container ship powered by liquid natural gas (LNG). As a global shipping and logistics leader, Dafei group has chosen to name its new flagship after the visionary founder of the group, Mr. Jacques Sade.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a groundbreaking choice for protecting air quality and promoting energy transformation

In November 2017, Rodolphe Saad é, chairman and CEO of Dafei group, decided to equip the series of container ships with liquefied natural gas (LNG) powered engines, which was the first time in the history of ultra large container ship shipping. This also demonstrates the group's commitment to the transformation of marine energy.

Today, liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the most advanced solution to protect air quality. It can reduce 99% sulfur dioxide and fine particulate matter emissions and 85% nitrogen oxide emissions, which is far better than the existing standards. Compared with conventional fuel power, the CO2 emission of LNG can be reduced by up to 20%. This technology is the first step for Dafei group to achieve 2050 carbon neutral target.

The giant ship integrating many innovations comes from the research and development achievements of Dafei group experts after 7 years

These 9 ships are the result of long-term cooperation between R & D experts and industry partners of Dafei group.

In addition to liquefied natural gas (LNG) power, these ships also provide the following advanced technologies:

-The cockpit has the latest embedded digital technology to assist the captain and crew, especially the port operation;

-They feature a redesigned bulbous bow, a seamless integrated straight bow, a redesigned rudder and a redesigned propeller - all of which greatly improve the hydrodynamic performance of the ship, thereby reducing energy consumption.

The nine ships are printed with a special "LNG powered" logo, which is easy to identify in all sea areas around the world.

An extraordinary construction project mobilizes the expertise and expertise of Dafei group's experts and industry partners

From design to operation, dafiyak Sade has benefited from the know-how and expertise of industry leaders in France, Europe and the world.

Dafei group has created the leading position of French LNG in the field of maritime transportation

The Daffy Jacques Sade and its eight sister ships of 23000 TEUs (20 foot equivalent units) will be registered with the French International Registry (FIR). They will be named after the landmark buildings and other famous places and institutions in the French capital Paris (Champs Elysees, royal palace, Louvre, Rivoli Avenue, Montmartre heights, Concorde square, trogadro garden and Sorbonne University). Dafei group chooses total as one of the main industrial partners to supply natural gas for the group. Therefore, Dafei group has become the advocator of building a real high-quality LNG industry for marine transportation.

The first voyage of the world's largest maritime route is located in the center of Asia Europe exchanges

Air route. It will go to the major landmark ports: Busan, South Korea; Tianjin, Ningbo, Shanghai and Yantian in China; Singapore; Southampton, Dunkirk, Hamburg, Rotterdam, and alhersilas in Europe; and Basang port in Malaysia. The route provides services once a week, making 13 stops over an 84 day voyage.

On the occasion, chairman and chief executive Rudolf sad said: "the dafiyak Sade embodies our commitment to the earth. It adopts the latest technology and is the result of joint research and development for seven years.

While ensuring the safety of the crew, it also protects air quality and will be part of our fight against global warming. It greatly improves the carbon footprint of cargo transportation. We have taken a big step forward in energy transformation. We still need to build more environmentally friendly modes of transport. "
