The Malaysian government announced on the 26th that under the background of the new outbreak, Malaysia will hold an informal APEC leaders' meeting in 2020 by video on November 20.

Malaysia's Ministry of international trade and industry said in a statement that the APEC informal leaders' meeting will launch the vision of cooperation after 2020 to replace the Bogor target, which will expire at the end of this year.

Since this year, Malaysia, as the host country of APEC 2020, has hosted most of the meetings, including the ministerial meetings on trade, health, finance, women and small and medium-sized enterprises, by video.

At the informal APEC leaders' meeting held in Bogor, Indonesia, in 1994, the "Bogor Goals" of trade and investment liberalization for developed and developing economies were established in 2010 and 2020 respectively.
